Get real-life experience

Most internships at media outlets and companies require an agreement with your college. If you can't get one of these yet, consider volunteering! It's a great way to gain experience and it gives you something to put on your resume.

WMNF needs volunteers of ALL KINDS. You don't have to be a techno person to work here. You can write, do office work, edit audio, just about anything. They don't hold you to a certain amount of time, and you can schedule around YOUR availability. Plus, they are wonderful people, eager to teach you in return for your time. Go to www.wmnf.org and fill out the volunteer form.

For HCC students (or non HCC students for that matter), look into helping out with Hawk Radio. See Professor Ericsson for more information. They need you too!
